About this game

Kenshi is a single player, free roaming squad based RPG that emphasizes open ended sandbox play instead of a fixed story, set in a vast, hostile desert world. Start as a nobody and shape your path as a trader, thief, rebel, warlord, adventurer, farmer, slave, or a victim of cannibals and slavers. Create and customize as many characters as you like, build a squad, and train them from weak prey into hardened warriors whose skills grow through use. Construct and upgrade buildings to serve as fortified refuges or commercial hubs, research new technologies, and craft equipment and defenses. There are no overpowered heroes or level scaling: almost everyone is stronger than you at first, survival is punishing, and capture, injury, or enslavement are natural outcomes of the simulation. Factions act and the world evolves whether you intervene or not, letting you support, oppose, or ignore them while you struggle simply to endure.
