About this game

Fields of Mistria is a cozy farming and life-sim RPG set in a magical village where you inherit an overgrown homestead and help restore the town after an earthquake and the rise of strange magic. You can customize your character, home, and farm, grow crops across changing seasons, fish, mine, craft, and raise adorable animals with rare color variants, while also unlocking magic for farming and exploration. The game includes romance and family with multiple marriage candidates, more than 30 villagers with their own stories, festivals, quests, combat in ancient ruins, and a nostalgic late-90s-inspired feel.

Bugs, Crashes & Solutions

Turn off rain particle effects and VSync in the graphics options if opening chests causes slow-motion lag or brief freezes.
Avoid choosing the second dialogue option during the Bell Tower quest collapse scene until a patch is released, as this choice can trigger a crash during the cutscene.
Reload an earlier save if a festival event, cutscene, or quest state becomes stuck.
Delete the settings.json file in the FieldsOfMistria folder under %LOCALAPPDATA%, then relaunch the game so it rebuilds the configuration.
Verify the integrity of the game files in Steam.

Switch the display mode to Borderless Windowed and cap the frame rate.
  • After defeating each quest monster in the mines, return to the ground floor instead of using the elevator between kills.
  • Repeat the loop of killing a target and exiting to the entrance so that each kill registers for Enchantern Explosion quest progress.
  • Switch the display mode from Fullscreen to Borderless Windowed.
  • After applying the change, switch back to Fullscreen to temporarily restore normal movement speed.
