Killing Floor 2 is a co-op and solo first person shooter set in continental Europe one month after the first game, where a catastrophic Zed outbreak from Horzine Biotech’s failed experiments has toppled governments, wiped out organized militaries, and left civilization in ruins. Survivors, including civilians and mercenaries, operate from private bases, tracking specimen swarms and dropping into infested zones to eradicate them. Players face terrifying, smarter Zeds using an arsenal that ranges from modern firearms and improvised weapons to classic guns and bizarre experimental gear, supported by an expanded perk system with meaningful progression choices and fully overhauled melee combat. Up to six players can fight cooperatively, while a 12 player Versus Survival mode lets one team play as humans and the other as Zeds. Dynamic Zed Time slow motion sequences highlight the gore, allowing players to stylishly shred enemies with a high fidelity persistent blood system.
