About this game
Monster Hunter Rise is an action RPG set in Kamura Village, where you become a hunter defending the village from the Rampage, a calamity in which swarms of monsters attack at once. Explore new maps and track down a wide variety of creatures, from returning series monsters to new foes inspired by Japanese folklore, including the flagship wyvern Magnamalo, each with distinct behaviors and ecologies. Use 14 different weapon types, Wirebugs for aerial mobility and special attacks, and Wyvern Riding to briefly control monsters in battle. Hunt solo or in multiplayer for up to four players via the Hunter Hub, gather materials from your quarry to craft and upgrade gear, and enlist Palico and Palamute buddies to assist you as you climb to the top of the food chain.

Disable overlay apps
- Open Steam, right-click Monster Hunter Rise, select Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files.
Reinstall the latest GPU drivers.
- Navigate to the shader cache folder for Monster Hunter Rise and delete its contents. (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MonsterHunterRise\ShaderCache)
Reinstall DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables to replace damaged or missing files required by the game.
Open the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MonsterHunterRise\config.ini and set Capability=DirectX11 and WindowModeOption=1.
