About this game

Palworld is a multiplayer open-world survival crafting game where you explore a vast world, befriend and collect mysterious creatures called Pals, and use them for combat, building, farming, and factory work. • Lower View Distance to Medium and reduce Shadows on mid-range hardware.
  • Enable DLSS or FSR in Quality mode and turn off heavy anti-aliasing like TAA if experiencing blurriness or FPS drops.
Add -dx11 to Palworld's Steam launch options to force DirectX 11, which can significantly reduce crash frequency compared to the default mode.

  • Check that the machine hosting the dedicated server has sufficient CPU, RAM, and disk performance for your player count and settings.
  • Reduce the number of active pals per player to around 15 and limit bases to about 3 per guild.
  • Avoid increasing spawn rates or other heavy settings that can overload the server.
  • Open the dedicated server's engine.ini file in the PalServer configuration directory.
  • Add the lines NetServerMaxTickRate=120 and LanServerMaxTickRate=120.
  • Save the file and restart the server to stabilize tick rate and improve server responsiveness.
  • Avoid running into the waterfall entrance around coordinates 681, 91 and rolling left, as this can push your character into a hidden underground area beneath the terrain.
  • If you clip inside the waterfall cave, climb along the left-hand side until you find the opening and glide back out through the entrance.
  • Restart the server or session if pals stop attacking or working, as long-running servers are more prone to AI issues.
  • Reduce the number of deployed pals and clear leftover debris or overlapping objects around bases to lessen AI strain.
  • Adjust world and base settings gradually to match the capabilities of your hosting device.
Clear your GPU shader cache using the appropriate control panel or driver tool for your graphics card, restart the PC or console, and then relaunch Palworld to fix low-resolution or muddy textures.

Completely remove all mod-related files and loaders following the official mod-clearing guidelines, then verify game files and start a new or clean world to prevent crashes and missing progress when the game still reports mods as installed.

  • Ensure your HDD or SSD has sufficient free space for Palworld saves.
  • Move your save directory to a path with a shorter folder structure if necessary to avoid "path too long" errors.
  • After adjusting storage or path, restart the game and let it recreate or reload the save files.
