About this game

Valheim is a brutal co-op and solo exploration survival game for 1 to 10 players, set in a vast, procedurally generated world rooted in Norse mythology. As a viking warrior in Odin’s service, you will sail treacherous seas, roam distinct biomes filled with unique enemies and resources, and uncover hidden secrets. Gather materials to craft weapons, armor, tools, ships, and defenses, and raise customizable longhouses or entire villages using a flexible building system that respects structural integrity and ventilation. Combat is stamina based and rewards preparation, timing, and smart use of weapon types, blocks, dodges, and parries. A generous food system grants health, stamina, and regeneration bonuses instead of punishing hunger. Face challenging bosses whose defeat unlocks new recipes and blueprints. Play on player hosted dedicated servers with unlimited world creation, and choose from officially supported languages plus several ongoing community made translations of varying completeness.
